On November 14, Hamilton reaffirmed its commitment to celebrating the unsung heroes behind the scenes of filmmaking during a star-studded ceremony in Hollywood.
Inspired by its long-standing cinematic legacy, Hamilton partnered with Variety to honor the film set teams that play pivotal roles in the success of every production. These behind-the-scenes talents were recognized in a red-carpet ceremony dedicated to the year’s most exceptional filmmakers, receiving their awards from A-list celebrities.
Known as the watchmaker of filmmakers, Hamilton timepieces have featured in over 500 Hollywood films and TV shows since their debut in the 1932 classic “Shanghai Express.” From Men in Black and 2001: A Space Odyssey to last year’s blockbuster Oppenheimer, Hamilton watches have played a key role in complementing characters and enhancing storytelling.
The 2024 Hamilton Behind the Camera Awards recognized the following winners:
“Cinema has organically become an integral part of the Hamilton universe. Our watches, inseparable from film characters and narratives, have supported filmmakers for decades. Like the mechanisms of our timepieces, the film crew is the driving force behind these characters. We value their talent and celebrate it with the Hamilton Behind the Camera Awards.”
Vivian Stauffer, CEO, Hamilton International
“Arianne translates each character’s inner desires through a button, a hemline, or a fabric choice. Only she could bring Robert Zimmerman’s evolution to Bob Dylan on the big screen.”
Elle Fanning, presenting the Costume Design Award to Arianne Phillips.
“There are so many of the best of the best in this room right now, and you all have the opportunity to mentor someone. Having been mentored myself, I can tell you it changes lives.”
Ryan Reynolds, winner of the Screenwriter Award for Deadpool & Wolverine.
“She has a singular vision, trusts her instincts, and possesses a unique style. She keeps her little monitor to herself, maintains autonomy and vision, and creates an intimate environment. She’s a force, soft-spoken but determined, reliable, collaborative, fun to be around, and an active mom.”
Pamela Anderson, presenting the Director Award to Gia Coppola.
Since 2006, the Hamilton Behind the Camera Awards have celebrated the year’s best behind-the-scenes talents in a star-studded Hollywood event. Previous winners include Paul Dano, director of Wildlife, who received his award from Jake Gyllenhaal; Mary Zophres, costume designer of First Man, who was awarded by Ryan Gosling; and Guillaume DeLouche, set manager of Thor: Love and Thunder, who was recognized by Jamie Alexander.
