Collaborations between watchmakers and athletes are common, but the Hublot Big Bang Unico Novak Djokovic sets itself apart with its innovative design and tribute to an unparalleled champion.
Celebrating tennis legend Novak Djokovic, the watch honors his 24 Grand Slam singles titles and record-breaking 2023 season. A Hublot ambassador since 2021, Djokovic exemplifies excellence and innovation, qualities reflected in this timepiece.
The Big Bang Unico Novak Djokovic boasts a 42mm matte blue case, 14.5mm thick, made from a unique recycled composite. This material incorporates fragments of 25 HEAD rackets and 32 Lacoste shirts worn by Djokovic during his remarkable season, blending epoxy resin, quartz powder, and glass veil. Prioritizing performance, Hublot uses tempered Gorilla Glass for the crystal, which is lighter and more resistant than sapphire. Aluminum components, including the crown, pushers, and caseback, further reduce weight.
The openworked dial features white luminescent indices, skeletonized hands, and yellow accents reminiscent of tennis balls, including the chronograph start pusher.
Powered by the in-house Unico Manufacture movement, it operates at 28,800 vibrations/hour and offers a 72-hour power reserve. Key movement components are made of anodized aluminum, ensuring durability while reducing weight.
Weighing just 49.5g with an elastic strap, the watch is lighter than a tennis ball and remains exceptionally lightweight with other strap options. Limited to 100 pieces, each purchase includes a Lacoste sport wristband and a signed Lacoste polo shirt from Novak Djokovic.
