“Seiko Presage Porter Classic SPB449: A Tribute to Japanese Craftsmanship”
Seiko has joined forces with Porter Classic to unveil a truly distinctive timepiece, the Presage Craftsmanship Series Porter Classic Limited Edition SPB449. This collaboration pays homage to Japan's rich tradition of craftsmanship, combining Seiko's watchmaking expertise with Porter Classic's signature design philosophy
Inspired by Seiko's first wristwatch, the Laurel from 1913, the SPB449 stands out with its striking black enamel dial, crafted by master artisan Mitsuru Yokosawa. The dial features elegant silver Breguet numerals and a 24-hour sub-dial at 6 o’clock. The case, measuring a compact 35mm in diameter and 12.3mm thick, evokes the charm of early 20th-century wristwatches, often converted from pocket watches. With articulated wire-like lugs and an onion crown, this model radiates vintage appeal.
Powered by Seiko's in-house automatic calibre 6R5H, the SPB449 offers a 72-hour power reserve. The watch is paired with a luxurious black Cordovan leather pull-through strap, reminiscent of vintage bands, along with an additional brown strap for versatility. Presented in a Jubako-style box, this limited-edition timepiece is designed for collectors who appreciate heritage and craftsmanship.
Limited to just 500 pieces, the Seiko Presage Porter Classic SPB449 will be available in November 2024, retailing for EUR 2,400.
