Minks, weasels, and stoats belong to the family Mustelidae, which also includes otters, badgers, and ferrets. Members of this family are characterized by their long, slender bodies, short legs, and fur that is often thick and lustrous. While otters are semi-aquatic and primarily live in or near bodies of water, minks, weasels, and stoats are terrestrial and can be found in a variety of habitats, from forests to grasslands to tundra. These small carnivorous mammals are known for their agility, speed, and hunting prowess, and are often able to take down prey that is much larger than themselves.
